Project Aurora — Modern Exterior of a Contemporary House
Project Aurora is a contemporary exterior design of a single-family home with a flat roof, shaped through clear lines, clean volumes and carefully balanced materials. The project is inspired by the emergence of the aurora borealis — a symbol of light, subtle transitions and visual dynamics — which is reflected in the play of shadows, reflections and layered façade surfaces.
VISION AND CONCEPT
The main idea of the project was to create a timelessly modern exterior that exudes elegance, stability and contemporary character at the same time. The focus is on:
- horizontal and vertical legibility of volumes, emphasized by a flat roof and clearly defined forms;
- contrast of full and empty surfaces, through large glass openings and massive façade planes;
- Architectural lighting that transforms the building in the evening and emphasizes its identity.
The name Aurora symbolizes the way in which light "animates" the façade, changing its character depending on the time of day and the angle of view.
Project Aurora is a modern family home with a strong architectural identity, designed to make a striking first impression, but also to retain its aesthetic and functional value in the long term. The exterior exudes calmness, clarity and elegance, while light becomes the key element that gives the space life and character.
